Dr Clare Harford

A Specialist GP, Dr Harford was excited to join the Little London team in 2019 and help continue the legacy of passionate doctors caring for their local community. A Hamilton native, Clare trained at Waikato Hospital and remembers being a medical student at Little London Clinic 20 years ago! Clare has experience in hospital and community medicine for all ages and has a diploma in Child Health. She is committed to providing clinical excellence within our compassionate and caring primary care team, to help patients and whanau achieve health and wellbeing in all aspects and stages of life. Clare and her family enjoy adventuring anywhere in the world, but especially in the forests and mountains of Aotearoa New Zealand. She currently works four mornings a week.

Dr Angela Glew

Dr Angela joined the Little London team in January 2026. An experienced GP originally from the UK, Angela began her medical career in hospital emergency medicine before completing her GP training in the rural Yorkshire Moors. She later worked in a busy practice in York city before moving “down under” in 2008. Since then, she’s worked as a GP in the Australian outback and across the Waikato in Putāruru, Raglan, and Hamilton East. In addition to working at Little London Medical every Tuesday and Thursday, Angela also works as a medical educator, training GP registrars across New Zealand, and is a travel medicine specialist who continues to keep her emergency skills sharp with regular A&E shifts. Outside of work, Angela is a busy mum, keen runner, and avid traveller.

Dr Ju Shim

Dr Ju Shim joined the Little London Medical team in April 2026 and works Monday to Wednesday. Originally from Korea, Ju spent his early years in the United States before moving to New Zealand, where he completed his medical training at the University of Auckland. He began his medical career at Waikato Hospital as a registrar before transitioning into general practice. Prior to joining Little London Medical, Ju worked at a GP clinic in Morrinsville. Ju enjoys keeping fit and supporting patients to develop and maintain active, healthy lifestyles.

Dr Steven Lillis

Dr Steven joined Little London in April 2026. Originally from Ireland, Steven is a highly experienced GP with over 30 years in clinical practice. Steven most recently worked as a GP at the University of Waikato Student Health Service and is currently the Clinical Lead for Assessment for the new University of Waikato Medical School development project. He has also held senior national roles in medical education, including Chief Examiner for the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and Director of Examinations for the Medical Council of New Zealand. Steven has a Diploma in Sports Medicine, a PhD, and has published approximately 60 research papers in his special interest areas of medical education, neurodiversity, ADHD and mental health. Outside of work, he loves cooking.   

Steven works at Little London on Friday afternoons.

Dr Rex Liao joined the Little London Medical team in June 2026 and works Monday to Thursday. After completing his medical training at the University of Otago, Rex spent four years working at Waikato Hospital, gaining experience across a range of hospital specialities, most recently in the Emergency Department. Rex later transitioned into general practice and has worked in GP clinics in Paeroa, Raglan, and Hamilton. He enjoys the variety that general practice offers and is committed to providing comprehensive healthcare for people of all ages.

Dr Gemma Herbison

Dr Gemma joined the Little London team in March 2025. Along with her medical degree, Gemma has a BSc in public health and physiology and has a special interest in preventative medicine and the management of long-term conditions. She is passionate about keeping people active and well, both physically and mentally, and is experienced working with older patients. Outside of work, Gemma is a passionate dancer. She is an experienced Pilates instructor, has run dance workshops throughout New Zealand, and still teaches contemporary, ballet and jazz to aspiring young dancers. Gemma is currently on maternity leave.
